School Resource Officer

The City of Martin Police Department will begin accepting applications for the full-time position of School Resource Officer.
The successful candidate will be an energetic, self-motivated, goal-oriented individual possessing a desire to make a difference in the lives of the citizens of our community.
Minimum Requirements are:

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Be a United States citizen
  • Have a High School diploma or equivalent
  • Possess a valid Tennessee Driver’s license
  • Pass a thorough background investigation including local, state, and national criminal record checks
  • Pass an entrance written exam
  • Oral interview

Requirements upon Conditional Offer of Employment

  • A physical examination
  • A drug-screening test
  • A psychological evaluation
  • A physical agility test
  • P.O.S.T. Police Officer Certifiable within six (6) months of hire date
