Chief’s Message

The men and women of the Martin Police Department work very hard every day to ensure our mission statement is carried out to provide protection and good quality of life to all segments of our community in a fair and professional manner. We are a pro-active community policing agency with strong community involvement that includes outreach programs geared at involving many people into our policing efforts through programs like our Citizen’s Police Academy and it’s Alumni Association, summer YOUTH program, School Resource Officer program, and Neighborhood Watch just to name a few.

Our Department has historically been oriented toward training for our personnel far beyond the minimum requirements. Subsequently, we have officers who have specializations in many areas of law enforcement to include criminal investigations, traffic accident reconstruction and traffic enforcement strategies, special weapons and tactics, community policing approaches, and various instructor programs.

As an agency, we seek highly motivated, educated, diverse persons to strengthen our department in attempts to provide the best services possible to our community. If you or someone you know is interested in a career in law enforcement, don’t hesitate to contact me or the staff at Martin Police Department about opportunities to serve. Please let us know if we are serving your needs or if we can improve services to your neighborhood.

Sincerely,

David Moore, Chief of Police
