The Tennessee Council on Children and Youth (TCCY) recently held its annual Fall Conference at UTM.  One of the highlights of the conference is the announcement of nominees and the winner of the regional “Child Advocate of the Year.”  This year, Weakley County Schools and the City of Martin Police Department are proud to claim the overall winner of the award and the runner up.  Joyce Hale, of the Weakley County Alternative School was selected “Advocate of the Year” and SRO Jason Arant, who is assigned to Westview High School, was named as the first runner up.  Congratulations to two individuals who put the students and staff they serve first in all they do.
