Traffic Safety

In order to ensure a safe flow of traffic through Martin, a number of tools are used by the department to assist with deployment of officers to the areas of concern. One of those tools is the Speed Trailer. The trailer is left at a location for about a week during which time the trailer will collect the speed of vehicles traveling on the road. The data is analyzed and officers are deployed to the areas of greatest concern.

June 18, 2013 – June 26, 2013 The Speed Trailer was deployed on Hwy 45 to collect data from the northbound traffic in the area of Westview High School.
