TN Law Enforcement Accreditation
The Martin Police Department was accredited by the TLEA in December 2012. TLEA is a program offered by the Tennessee Association of Chiefs of Police. TLEA requires adherence to over 150 professional law enforcement standards.
The TLEA standards are designed to:
- Increase the agency’s ability to prevent crime.
- Increase the agency’s effectiveness in the delivery of law enforcement services.
- Increase cooperation and effectiveness among other law enforcement and criminal justice agencies.
- Increase citizen and employee confidence in the goals,objectives,policies,and practices of the agency.
