Lieutenant Eric Reed
Lieutenant Eric Reed began his law enforcement career at the Greenfield Police Department in 1997. In 1998 he was hired as a patrol officer for the Martin Police Department. He served there until he became the first School Resource Officer for Westview High School and Martin Middle School in 1999. He returned to the patrol division in 2005 and served there until he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 2007.
Lieutenant Reed currently serves as a Crisis Negotiator for the 27th Judicial District Special Response Team. He is a liaison for the Governor Highway Safety Office. He is the police departments instructor for Emergency Vehicle Operations and RADAR / LIDAR.
Lieutenant Reed graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 1997 with a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice.
